Design Distillery has won a major design project for Boeing, the main sponsors of The British Military Tournament (previously The Royal Tournament) that takes place at Earls Court in December.
The project includes dressing two key areas of the event that feature an Apache helicopter and Chinook helicopter. In meeting the objectives of encouraging visitors to engage with the Boeing brand, Design Distillery are also arranging free Boeing wifi at the event where visitors will be able to follow Boeing on Facebook and Twitter and download ringtones and desktop backgrounds. Helicopter fact cards will be given out to all children and hospitality areas will be dressed with the Boeing brand.
Design Distillery Managing Director, Guy Tillyard said, "The theme for this year's tournament is to celebrate the accord between US and British Forces. The event provides the perfect platform for Boeing, a US company that is central in supporting the British forces through aircraft such as the Apache, Chinook and C-17. Our designs focus on the aircrews responsible for flying Boeing aircraft, and promise to have great impact. Through massive printed banners, exciting lighting, sound-effects and smoke machines we aim to create some theatre that will bring the aircraft to life and really excite the children, and hopefully even Her Majesty the Queen whilst visiting the show!"
Design Distillery is responsible for all design, production, logistics and event planning. The British Military Tournament takes place on 2, 3, 4 December 2011.
